The project is an itinerant series of discussions focusing works and projects by young artists using electronic and digital media. The project focuses two aspects: 1) education, by discussing young artists’ projects underway and 2) decentralized dissemination of new media knowledge / production covering cities in different regions of Brazil. In this respect, it aims to build networks among professionals and institutions interested in changes prompted by the impact of technology in the contemporary world. The project is produced by the Sergio Motta Institute through its main cultural initiative, the Sergio Motta Art and Technology Award. The project also has a blog which narrates the experiences and the meeting through the country. Recombinant Territories have been happening since 2006 and in 2008 it had its second edition.
